Vera Winthagen

Deputy Head of Unit in the New European Bauhaus at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission. As an industrial designer, she has contributed to Design for Policy initiatives for various organizations, including the City of Eindhoven in the Netherlands, the Design & Innovation Agency VanBerlo, and the Technical University Eindhoven, where she led projects focused on the 'Designing Out Crime' research theme. Additionally, she has managed a design company in Nairobi, Kenya, and participated in the sustainable innovation program CP4BP in Hanoi, Vietnam. In this role, she provided guidance to Small and Medium Enterprises and local designers to foster innovation and sustainability.
