Julian Atkins

Julian joined National Church Institutions (NCI)* in February 2023 as Director of the Net Zero Carbon Program, responsible for implementing the roadmap to zero CO2 emissions by 2030. Previously, he worked in local government for 29 years in management positions, focusing on sustainable development, climate and built and natural heritage. Coordinated the work of the Public Sector Climate Change Partnership in Gloucestershire and was Chief Executive at the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority.
