About the event
Heritage Innovators Day 2024 is the only international event in Poland that aims to enhance the quality of our environment and stimulate creativity in shaping it. By doing so, great heritage achievements are to be restored for the community. Among the tools that will support this goal are both technology and traditional methods, including craftsmanship. To make this possible, we invite a broad debate in a spirit of dialogue and mutual understanding from all those who have a real influence on what is happening around us. These are the five key parties who together can bring about change. Meeting in a spirit of interdisciplinarity, the aim is to integrate the perspectives of non-governmental organisations (NGOs), government representatives, business, academics and, above all, civil society - citizens, each and every one of us - and... the planet.
Our activities are guided by the idea of the New European Bauhaus - an interdisciplinary EU project based on three values: beauty, sustainability and community.
Heritage Innovators Day 2024 promotes an innovative approach to heritage in this spirit, creating new business opportunities for the creative industries. Indeed, these activities will be carried out using both the latest technology and traditional methods, including craftsmanship. And all this for the benefit of the local and European communities, who will be able to work, learn or relax in new, friendly spaces.

Workshop: History meets modernity: revitalisation of small towns in the Subcarpathian region (PL only):
As a key element of European identity, the small historic towns of Podkarpacie offer unique opportunities for sustainable and aesthetic development. We will address the design of innovative solutions that harmoniously combine the needs of modernity with the preservation of historical coherence. You will have the opportunity to design your own concepts that highlight the unique character of these historic places and support their development as an attractive alternative to living in big cities. Join us to use your creativity to create a future that draws on a rich heritage and local values. Together we will journey towards a sustainable future, celebrating the best of small towns. Join us for a workshop inspired by the architectural game method ‘PLAYUBA’, where together we will shape the space around us.
